This course highlights the dangers of occupational exposure to respirable crystalline silica including health effects, the occupational exposure standards including the 8 hr TWA PEL of 50 µg/m³ and the action level (AL) of 25 µg/m³, engineering controls, personal protective equipment (PPE), housekeeping practices, medical surveillance, communication of hazards   and exposure assessment and methods of compliance including Table 1 construction tasks.
