Statement of Qualifications
Marine Chemist Service is a highly diversified Virginia corporation that has two separate facilities, 5 different service lines, and nearly 60 years of experience. The corporation also has one of the longest, continuously operating Environmental and Industrial Hygiene Laboratories. Throughout its long history, MCS has trained approximately 25,000 students, an analyzed over 625,000 samples, and performed countless inspections aboard ships and within the facilities of land-side operations. This remarkable achievement has been made possible through the efforts of 30+ biologists, chemists, geologists, industrial hygienists, inspectors, safety professionals, trainers, and a group of very efficient support personnel.
In addition to continuing education, extensive experience and ongoing training of its employees, Marine Chemist Service uses state-of-the-art instrumentation both in the field and in their laboratory. Strict adherence to published procedures, quality assurance/quality control and best management practices are taken very seriously. All of this, along with cost effective, timely delivery of services, demonstrates MCS’ genuine commitment to not only “exceed the expectations” of their clients but also third-party oversight agencies, affiliations and institutions that review their work:
